Welcome to the Comptoir des Millésimes Blog!
After several months of work and searching for the best vintages, we are proud to be able to offer you Grands Crus and Old Vintages on our website: www.comptoirdesmillesimes.com. So, for this first article, we thought it only logical to tell you a little more about the site and our project.
The desire to offer rare wines and old vintages came to us simply because of the difficulty of finding those mythical bottles that are the joy of great wine enthusiasts. We had to be able to offer you those rare bottles, the wine from the year of your birth, that famous Sauternes from 1976 tasted with a friend a few years earlier, or the château that our grandfather was particularly fond of and still remembers.
And all this on a website that's easy to use, secure and stress-free. All our bottles are sold individually, with no minimum order. Postage is €7, whatever the value of your order, and free for orders over €500.
Comptoir des Millésimes is also a community! Join us on Facebook and share our passion for great wines!

how do you call a very old Sauternes when the wine has changed so much that only certain aromas remain?
thank you for your reply

Good afternoon, sir,
Despite its age, this is still an old Sauternes. Some age very well, even after 40/50 years. You'll need to concentrate on fine vintages and great estates to ensure a fine tasting.
